There once lived a lonely bird who was pretty ordinary with a small bunch of feathers. In its determination to pursue the ultimate bird of beauty, he decided to visit Goddess Jamila. Upon his arrival, he had described his wish for a majestic, brightly colored tail that would trail behind him as he walks. The goddess subtly accepted his request though she warned him that nothing is given without a price.​

Upon hearing acceptance, the bird was foolishly filled with joy thinking his desire could not be compensated for if he gets his wish granted. Hence he was turned into a beautiful peacock as he slowly stared, realizing this beauty had taken away simply what most birds have, flight.
